Will it ever stop raining? Nothing was going to stop this wedding from going ahead, not drizzle or the sort of light that puts the wind up photographers. Crystal arrived in their ’73 Mustang coupe’ & as it drove up the driveway my heart skipped a couple of beats purely because of the power & the sound of the engine. The wet had forced a late venue change from their beautiful Coffee Camp property overlooking Nimbin Rocks & the Border Ranges to the Summerland House with No Steps.
We got to photograph one of the most extraordinary things I have seen at a wedding. A burnout with Crystal & Jason behind, rapidly disappearing into a cloud of smoke. Jodie could actually see Crystal’s dress flapping from the force of smoke & the engine exhaust. Afterwards her dress was laced with hot rubber. We had already arranged a trash the dress session for their property, but now there was no going back.
What a beautiful, easy going & fun couple to work with. I can’t imagine a more relaxed, yet extraordinary wedding to photograph. Thank you for having us & for allowing us in to your family for the day. It will live large in our memories for a long, long time. Can’t wait for the resumption of your TTD……..
