Jane & Matt {Byron Bay Wedding Photographer}

As a photographer every so often you can get a bit complacent about living in the Northern Rivers. You start wishing for a wedding or two away from the countryside & the beaches just for a bit more variety &  few more variables to make up your day. But then you get to shoot a wedding like Matt & Jane’s & you remember all the reasons why there is nowhere in the world better to have & photograph a wedding than right here.

Jane & Matt married at Paddymel0n Ponds up at Possum Creek on a day when everything fell into place & with 90% of the guests travelling from Melbourne & rural Victoria this was no mean feat. I have never encountered a dentist & a farmer marrying before but if there was anybody with a more intoxicating attraction & a bond that could move mountains. Beautiful Jane took my breath away in her wedding dress which, like everything else on the day was the right balance of sophistication & flair & fitted like a dream. Handsome Matt, the only son took everything in his stride but beamed like a newly risen moon as he took his brides hand from her father.

Sherilee from Creative Events & Wedding Hire had the measure of everything throughout as usual & didn’t break a sweat in the face of split trousers & mini power outages. As we bathed in the gorgeous afternoon light & photographed Jane & Matt from one end of the property at the extraordinary bamboo cathedral to the far end where Jane had spotted a piano sitting quietly at the side of the road everything about the day felt right.

You would be well into your honeymoon & probably left the Maldives for Spain Jane & Matt but when you read this just know it was a true honour to be with you both this day & to have shared your lives in this way. It is going to make a very beautiful album & I look forward to laying it out for you.
