I am probably repeating myself, but it is such an honour to be asked to photograph a wedding. Yesterday we discovered how much more of an honour it is when the couple are two close friends. Mel & Ash have been two of our close friends since we moved back here, & yesterday the perfect couple had the perfect wedding day.

Ash is a beautiful man & & such a calm & gentle soul. He knew Mel was the one the first time he laid eyes on her when she walked through his mates front door. But nothing prepared him for when the girls, led by Ivy, his sister stepped from the limousine & began to walk down the aisle at 3.41 pm in Faulks Reserve, Ballina
Mel who turns heads everywhere she goes with a smile that electrifies an entire room, had been waiting for this day for a long time. Ash really is the man of her dreams & proof that nice guys do get the girl!

We often meet cynics in the course of our work but no one can deny the unexplainable phenomenon of love at first sight. The more weddings we do the more similarities we see. But it is the differences that continue to amaze me. After all is said & done it is the people & the love that binds them together that make a wedding day what it is.
