The Godfather…………… & the Godmother

Last weekend we had the rare honour of being made godparents. Our dear friends Erin & Karen with whom we hold so much history, held a naming ceremony for the beautiful little Molly.

Among other things, I was able to record the reaction of Molly at learning this news………….

Before hearing that we were going to be her godparents………….

And once the news had set in !!!!!!! Or maybe not………

The day started with a beautiful, inclusive ceremony in which everybody was given the opportunity to contribute thoughts & wishes for Molly’s life.

From this day henceforth, whenever a significant occasion is marked Molly’s candle will be lit

Dad, Erin read an emotive poem to his daughter, & got to steal a kiss from the sleeping beauty.

For the first time in 11 years, together in the same room. How good!

I have to say  a big thank you to Ann & Col for hosting the day & for allowing the (ahem) party to continue into the night. Time moves too quickly & we are all leading busy lives so times like these stay close to our hearts forever.
