This speaks to me so much, every time I see Luke perform I hassle him to play. I think every artist who feeds their families on the fruits of their creativity feels this from time to time.

I think I am going to need you to help me stand
I tripped over something in my way
 Somehow, I’ve been rocked to the core
Something’s cracked inside & I am not sure
How to make it through this awkward day
 Yeah I’ve been a little bit tired,

How fortuitous……returning to the city on the big day of the St Kilda festival. I have always loved street photography & some of my favourite artists are street photographers. Trent Parke, a living treasure & Australian icon, Jesse Marlow of Occuli & the man, Henri Cartier Bresson are out & out heroes of mine. Shooting people on the street, with pure & honest intentions & the aim of commenting on life right here & now can be difficult in Lismore. It’s somewhat easier in St Kilda on the sunday of the Festival. Thank you Melbourne xoxo.

It doesn’t happen often but we got to spend some time with (Uncle) Sammy. Firstly in the city, eating dumplings…….. & then at Dexter, in Clifton Hill. His very own personal stamp on the world. I have my work & what it says about me. Sam has Dexter & it speaks volumes about him, as does the calibre of the people who spend their free time there.
If we lived in Melbourne I would be there most afternoons for a coffee or a glass of wine. Or wherever he goes next.
