How fortuitous……returning to the city on the big day of the St Kilda festival. I have always loved street photography & some of my favourite artists are street photographers. Trent Parke, a living treasure & Australian icon, Jesse Marlow of Occuli & the man, Henri Cartier Bresson are out & out heroes of mine. Shooting people on the street, with pure & honest intentions & the aim of commenting on life right here & now can be difficult in Lismore. It’s somewhat easier in St Kilda on the sunday of the Festival. Thank you Melbourne xoxo.

It doesn’t happen often but we got to spend some time with (Uncle) Sammy. Firstly in the city, eating dumplings…….. & then at Dexter, in Clifton Hill. His very own personal stamp on the world. I have my work & what it says about me. Sam has Dexter & it speaks volumes about him, as does the calibre of the people who spend their free time there.
If we lived in Melbourne I would be there most afternoons for a coffee or a glass of wine. Or wherever he goes next.

I have already banged on about this but we found this chapel on our way home from Courtney & Scott’s magical Tamworth wedding in November.

 

It charmed the pants off all of us, & as a venue to shoot a wedding at it is simply mouthwatering. It has a long history & is on the intersection of two tiny country roads about 10 minutes from Uralla, in NSW.

If by some chance you are intending to marry there & you don’t have your photography sorted, please call me. I would love to talk to you & I can promise you it will be worth your while. And if you are in the area, head East from Uralla & you should find it.
